Dr. Faizan Ullah is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry in the Department of Biological & Chemical Sciences at the University of Rasul, Mandi Bahauddin, where he joined in September 2025. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from COMSATS University Islamabad and subsequently held an IPFP fellowship at KFUEIT, Rahim Yar Khan, before joining UOR.
His research lies in computational and theoretical chemistry, with a focus on single-atom catalysis, the hydrogen evolution reaction, hydrogen storage, nonlinear optical materials and DFT-based sensing, increasingly combined with machine-learning-assisted materials design. He has published 35 peer-reviewed journal articles (h-index ~20) and has mentored MS and PhD students.
Computational and theoretical chemistry: single-atom catalysis and materials design, the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and hydrogen storage, nonlinear optical (NLO) materials, DFT-based sensing studies, and machine-learning-assisted materials design and molecular property prediction.
