The Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialisation (ORIC) serves as the University of Rasul's central hub for research facilitation, innovation management, and industry engagement. Established in line with the Higher Education Commission's framework for research offices, ORIC works across all faculties to strengthen the university's research output, encourage entrepreneurship, and build lasting partnerships between academia and industry.
Foster a vibrant research culture across faculties by facilitating funded projects, publications, and inter-disciplinary collaboration.
Translate research outcomes and student ideas into viable products, patents, and startups with real market impact.
Build sustained partnerships with industry, government, and international bodies to align research with practical needs.
Guide faculty and students through HEC and other national/international grant application processes.
Support intellectual property protection and ensure research integrity and ethical compliance university-wide.
Operate incubation and mentorship channels that help researchers and students launch technology ventures.
Championing research with direct, measurable relevance to industry and society.
Encouraging novel technology-driven solutions to real-world engineering challenges.
Nurturing early-stage student and faculty ventures from idea to launch.
Creating structured partnerships that connect research output with market needs.
Training faculty and students in research methodology, grant writing, and IP awareness.
Upholding ethical standards and compliance across all sponsored research activity.
