Dr. Iqra Mubeen

Dr. Iqra Mubeen is a dedicated Zoologist, researcher, educator, and scientific writer with a strong academic background in Molecular Biology, Cancer Immunology, Immunogenetics, and Biomedical Research. She completed her PhD in Zoology with Distinction from Government College University Lahore (GCUL), with her doctoral research focusing on genetic variants in immune checkpoint genes and their association with oral cancer risk in Pakistan. Her research interests include oral cancer genetics, immune checkpoint biomarkers, genetic polymorphisms, molecular epidemiology, cancer biology, diabetes genetics, and machine-learning-based disease risk prediction. Her research has contributed to understanding the genetic and clinical factors associated with oral cancer and other complex diseases. Dr. Mubeen has also gained international research exposure through the HEC IRSIP program at the Medical University of Vienna, Austria, where she received training and research experience in molecular and biomedical techniques. As an educator, she is passionate about making biological sciences understandable, engaging, and research-oriented. At the University of Rasul, she contributes to undergraduate teaching in Zoology and related biological sciences, with an emphasis on conceptual learning, practical skills, biodiversity, ecology, animal biology, and scientific thinking. Her professional goal is to integrate teaching, research, molecular genetics, and interdisciplinary approaches to contribute meaningfully to biological and biomedical sciences.
