Dr. Rafi ur Rahman is a researcher and educator in the field of biotechnology, specializing in vector biology, parasitology, microbiology, and climate-driven vector-borne disease research. He earned his Ph.D. in Parasite/Vector Biology from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz), Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and has undertaken postdoctoral research at the University of São Paulo (USP), Fiocruz, and COMSATS University Islamabad. His research focuses on mosquito biology, insecticide resistance, mosquito microbiomes, host–parasite interactions, and the impacts of climate change and solar radiation management on vector-borne diseases. Dr. Rahman has authored numerous publications in international peer-reviewed journals and has collaborated with researchers across Pakistan, Brazil, Europe, and the Middle East. He is currently a faculty member in the Department of Biotechnology at the University of Rasul, Mandi Bahauddin, where he is committed to advancing research, teaching, and capacity building in biotechnology, public health, and infectious disease ecology.
