About
The Department of Psychology at the University of Rasul is a growing academic unit committed to producing competent, ethically grounded psychology professionals equipped to meet Pakistan's mental health, organizational, and community needs. The department currently offers a single undergraduate program, the BS Psychology (4-Year), with specialization tracks in Clinical Psychology, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and Health Psychology — allowing students to build a strong generalist foundation before specializing according to career interest. The department is served by four faculty members, comprising two PhD Assistant Professors who provide research supervision and advanced instruction, and two Lecturers who support core coursework, practical labs, and student mentorship, reflecting a close-knit academic environment focused on quality supervision. The department currently has two active batches — Fall 2025 and Fall 2026 — with an overall student strength of 150+, reflecting steady growth since its inception and increasing regional demand for psychology education. As part of its commitment to academic quality, the department is actively coordinating curriculum alignment with HEC's National Curriculum Revision Committee (NCRC) recommendations, working through formal university academic governance channels to ensure the BS Psychology program meets national benchmarks. Looking ahead, the department aims to expand its faculty strength in line with enrollment growth, strengthen clinical and industry linkages for internships and practicum placements, and explore the eventual development of postgraduate offerings.
